Case Study #1
Presented at DIA Annual Meeting, 2005 in Washington, DC
In a late phase trial with Oscient Pharmaceuticals, 50% of sites were trained using an audio conference call and 50% of sites were trained on an asynchronous elearning website customized for the study. The website contained the same material covered during the audio conference call but was broken into 9 learning modules accessible 24 hours a day. The website and modules used a theme, music, and quizzing to stimulate the learner. Pass/Fail was based on 80% completion for all 9 modules.
Results:
- 2/3 Reduction in Training Time for Quintiles SRS Group
- Fewer questions directed to the Help Desk
- SAME Enrollment % for each group
- 59.6% fewer DCF/Subject with Web Training
This site is still used by the clients and continues to save time and money during their study.
